My thoughts:
I got this book by email from Ami Blackwelder. It was actually a pretty quick book to read.

April found out that she isn't totally human and she found out some surprises about her parents as well. She fell in love with Robert who is a human, but had other ties with Arken that had to do more with was she is rather than her emotional feelings.

It was interesting because in the book there were maps of the militia headquarters. At the end of the book there were pictures of the characters, which I should have really skipped to before I read the book. Maybe This should have been in the beginning? There were many different characters and unusual names which were a little hard to keep track of. I concentrated on pretty much April, Robert and Arken. The rest got kind of fuzzy sometimes.

It did keep me wondering what was going to happen, and it had a good ending. Although, I have to say there could have been a little more romance. What happened between April and Arken that was revealed toward the end made me wonder how that could have happened.

I gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars!

  1. The cover is just weird to me and would be one that I wouldn't look at twice. But I'm glad that you're adventurous and read this one. It sounds strange but in a good way.
