Plans for the Dewey Read-A-Thon tomorrow

Sign up at:

This will be my first year doing the read-a-thon. I don't know how it will go between taking my daughter to dance and to the mall, but I will try to do as much reading as I can.

Okay, here is my list:

Making Toast by Roger Rosenblatt

I just picked this up at the library today and it looks pretty good. It's 166 pages, so maybe a good one to start with.

Benny & Shrimp by Katarina Mazetti (borrowed from Staci of Life in the Thumb)

Looks like it has a lot of great reviews, and it's only 209 pages which isn't too bad.

Darling Jim by Christian Moerk (another book borrowed from Staci of Life in the Thumb)

Again a lot of good reviews on this one and it's 285 pages.

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

I have renewed this book at the library, so it's time to get it read! It seems to have some pretty good reviews too, and it's 288 pages.

The Night Gardener by George Pelecanos

I have renewed this book at the library and should get this one read too. It's 372 pages.

Riding Wild by Jaci Burton

I got this from the Goodreads bookswap. I thought maybe I should at least read one book from my shelves, that way I can give it away or swap it back or something to make room for the books I just got today! I think I actually need another book case!

The Haunting by Joan Lowery Nixon.

Okay, so I went to another library today (right in town) and picked this book out because it looked good and short (184 pages). I am always up for a good ghost story.

Wake (Dream Catcher #1) by Lisa McMann
Got this on the trip to the 2nd library that I went to today. It looked good.

Fade (Dream Catcher #2) by Lisa McMann
Okay, I got Wake, so of course I had to get this second book Fade.
Okay, I picked out 10 books. I read all of these, or even half, I will be amazed. I am so excited to start tomorrow now that I am organized!

  2. I'm going to a library sale this morning, so I won't be reading the entire time either. Oh, and my daughter and I definitely will go to sleep at some point. Have fun!
